Fall Skills (Futsal) Programs

Off-season programs to focus on - Individual skills, more touches !!  

Our indoor Fall Skills training programs focus on a FUTSAL style game.  Players will be provided the opportunity to play small sided games, to improve their creativity, be encouraged to make mistakes and learn!

 

Benefits of Futsal type training:

  • Ball runs faster on gym floor so need to be more accurate with passes  
  • Players are in constant movement, on toes ready to react           
  • Players without ball must move to 'real' space and truly support their teammates.

Promotes quality touches:          

  • Players must learn to settle the ball rapidly, cut sharply, shield effectively, pass quickly and move into space.
  • Player with ball must use proper technique to maintain control and must seek out other players in space.
  • No incentive to 'kick and run' - gym is too small and packed with players.

 

All sessions are facilitated by Julio Barrios, PMSC Technical Director.  Coaches are encouraged to attend and observe or participate!

U7-9  PROGRAM   (COED   YOB 2012, 2011, 2010)

7 sessions - Registration cost is $ 55
2:30-4pm   John F Ross CVI (Meyer Rd)

U10-12  PROGRAM   (Coed   YOB 2009, 2008, 2007, 2006)

14  sessions – Registration $ 95
 
The program includes Saturday afternoons at John F Ross CVI AND Thursday evenings at College Hghts SS.
Saturdays     4-5:30pm at John F Ross CVI (Meyer Rd)
